You act as the bridge between strategic sourcing and operational purchasing by supporting the organisation in its tactical purchasing activities and by initiating & implementing purchasing specific improvement projects.

This includes:

  • You manage the Purchase To Pay processes on a daily basis (support and advise internal customers on best practices, second level of exception management, make suppliers deliver to promise, streamline sourcing activities, communicate supplier performance management,…)
  • You support internal customers at different purchasing processes such as  price requests, ordering and expediting processes, the inbound logistics and you manage adherences to contracts.
  • You initiate and lead projects for systems and tools optimizations (f.e. SAP improvements).
  • You lead and execute assigned buying projects in order to reduce complexity for the assigned spend categories (asses and process requirements & price requests, evaluate bids,…).
  • You support the organisation with the necessary purchasing statistics and reports.
  • You support the Head of Purchase in the further professionalisation and streamlining of the purchasing organisation 

You report to the Head of Purchase.


  • You have a Master degree in Purchase, Logistics or Economics.
  • You have a first experience in a buyer role.
  • You have good organisational, negotiation and problem solving skills. 
  • You possess a commercial mindset and project management skills.
  • You are able to collaborate with a variety of people (internally and externally).
  • You have good communication skills in Dutch, English and French (oral and written). German or other languages are an asset.
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of ICT tools. SAP experience is an asset.
