Operational Excellence Specialist (M/V/X)

As part of a small but dynamic and strong team, you lead the deployment of the Operational Excellence philosophy and tools. You support the Operational Excellence projects that you’re assigned to, to ensure it becomes embedded in “Our” way of running the business. 

Function

  • You facilitate and support teams of other departments/services (e.g. production, QC, Supply Chain, ...) in optimising their activities and processes. 
  • You act as a coach and facilitator to create the right mindset and behaviour. To do so, you can rely on your knowledge of OE-methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, …
  • Based on the corporate objectives, you initiate, stimulate and lead projects by analysing data, leading workshops, giving trainings, etc. 
  • You manage several OE-projects simultaneously and ensure that good project management becomes well embedded in the organisation.
  • You stimulate collaboration in order to enhance a positive climate with an open attitude towards change. You ensure that the relationships between the project sponsor, leader and coach are well balanced.
  • You participate in developing and refining OE-methodologies and programs. 
  • You communicate regularly on progress to all concerned stakeholders.
  • You report to our Head of OE.
     

Profiel

  • You hold a Master degree in Sciences or Engineering and have operational excellence experience within a production environment.
  • You are able to demonstrate a solid continuous improvement mindset. A Green Belt certificate in Lean Six Sigma is an asset.
  • You are an excellent communicator and inspiring coach. You listen to people and know how to generate ideas, capture insights and translate them into workable solutions.
  • You demonstrate excellent project management skills and a strongly structured personal organization and time management.
  • You are a flexible and convincing business partner, able to communicate effectively to a wide range of people from operators to higher management.
  • You are IT-minded and have affinity with IT-tools (such as MS Office and MS SharePoint). You understand the necessity of capturing knowledge and making it centrally available for the entire organisation.
  • You’re very fluent both in Dutch and English. Mastering other languages is certainly an asset.
  • You are willing to travel on a regular basis to the other sites in Belgium
